Ms. Vinaya Sawant

Principal,
Indira Priyadarshini School

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Indira Priyadarshini School, a very warm welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

We are living in very challenging times. The pandemic has greatly impacted schooling and due care is being taken for the safety of students.  We  continue to exercise utmost vigilance and to not avoid any of the recommended vaccinations or practices.

We have resumed regular  teaching classes. We will be continuing to be using Microsoft Teams, for communication purposes.

We will also keep a vibrant activity calendar going through the year, and seek to compensate for what we missed in the last two years  with students actively  participating in various arts and cultural activities.

The world is changing in many other ways. Progress in science and technology is happening at an unprecedent rate. In order to ensure our students are equipped to meet the challenges of this fast-paced world, we have made changes to our curriculum and our pedagogy.

We will continue to use Oxford Advantage series as additional reference material, in order to support inquiry-based learning. We are also making the curriculum more STEM-focused (Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering) and you will accordingly see increased activities and assignments in these areas.

It is our commitment that we will do what is required to continuously improve your child’s learning experience. For a child’s education to be successful, there has to be a strong partnership between school and home. We, therefore, ask your help in supporting your child’s learning by ensuring the below:

  1. Your child attends  classes regularly and is well-prepared for each class.
  2. Completes homework assignments and other activities assigned by the teacher.
  3. Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.

I am greatly honored to be serving as the Principal of IPS. IPS is a 44-year-old institution and no less than 10,000 students have walked past the portals of this institution and are now responsible national and international citizens.

As an experienced and dedicated educator with more than two decades of experience, I am eager to create an institution that provides your child a transformational learning experience and sets them on the path of lifelong success.

I am confident that with our strong technology platform and dedicated faculty, and with the strong support of our students’ families, we will be able to provide a rewarding and successful academic year for each student. As we start this year, I pray to and seek blessings of the Goddess of Learning, Saraswathi, to guide my path.

I strongly encourage you to visit our school to meet with me to discuss any questions you may have, and to see for yourself the changes we are implementing in our School!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Vinaya Sawant
Principal
Indira Priyadarshini School

Message From The Principal’s Desk

“ Remember that a child is a gift from God, the richest of all blessings. Do not attempt to mold him in the image of yourself, your father/ mother, your brother/sister, or your neighbor. Each child is an individual and should be permitted to be himself.”

I am profoundly honored to be serving as the Principal of IPS.IPS is a 44-year-old institution. No less than 10,000 students have walked past the portals of this grand institution and are now responsible citizens of this country and some globally as well.

“ Teach your child dignity is in hard work, whether performed with callused hands that shovel coal or skilled fingers that manipulate surgical instruments. Let him/ her know a useful life is a blessed one and a life of ease and pleasure-seeking is empty and meaningless.”

I am deeply conscious of how greatly school experiences impact our lives and influence our judgment. I therefore intend to make the experience of every student in the school worthy of lifelong remembrance. Schools are expected to impart basic and intermediate education to students, more importantly, schools should bring out the best in each student. Schools should enable students to choose their life path so that they are both successful and happy. And this shall be my endeavor at all times as the principal of this institution. As India grows into a global economic giant, the children of the country are the ones who will power this growth. Students should therefore not only learn subjects but also teach skills, especially soft skills. Communication skills are a vital part of an all-rounded personality. I will endeavor to balance curricular education with extra-curricular activities that foster soft skills. Teachers are the beating heart of the school their energy enthusiasm and commitment are what pass on to students, providing an enabling environment for teachers to deliver their best will always be my priority.

If you plant honesty, you will reap trust.
If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.
If you plant perseverance, you will reap victory.
If you plant consideration, you will reap harmony.
If you plant hard work, you will reap success.
If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.
If you plant patience, you will reap improvements.

We are a group of diverse experiences and outlooks, committed to excellence in preparing learners for enriched opportunities worldwide. In short, learning at IPS is a wholesome package of attitude, challenge and opportunity.

“Let us keep alive the child’s inborn sense of wonder, let us arouse their curiosity to discover the mystery of the world we live in!”

As they do, the experiences simultaneously fuel emotional, social, intellectual, physical and ethical development! At IPS, we enjoy this journey with our children, reliving and rediscovering the magic of learning! We are aligned with the thoughts of Buddha.

‘Each morning, we are born again What matters the most is whether we have given our best today’.
